Cryptocurrency lending platforms may generate interest income that is subject to taxation under applicable laws. Interest received in digital assets is often valued at its market price when credited to the investor's account. If those Kraken tax reporting assets appreciate before being sold, additional capital gains calculations may apply. Comprehensive records of lending rewards and subsequent transactions simplify compliance during tax preparation.
